Preparation

Content market research
The market research is done in two steps after which the results are translated into an international marketing strategy (step 3). 

Step 1. The external business environment
The external business environment is investigated by performing extensive desk research and if necessary field research. In doing so we look at the macro and micro level. The field research is carried out by a local partner.

Step 2. The internal business environment 
Not only is the external business environment investigated, but we also look at the most important internal business factors. Factors like for instance the corporate strategy and business structure, personnel and of course the product or service which the company wants to sell or buy in the foreign market.  

 

Analysing the results

The results of the market research are analysed. This is done by setting up a SWOT-analysis which gives an overview of the opportunities (O) and threats (T) and the weaknesses (W) and strengths (S) of the company in the foreign market. Together with our client we confront the SWOT-analysis with among others the corporate strategy, skills of the staff and financial capabilities.

 

Step 3. Formulating international marketing strategy

After setting up of the SWOT-analysis and the confrontation with the capabilities of the company MEYS will formulate an international marketing strategy. This strategy will give content to the international marketing mix. It is among others about setting the competitive price for the product or service in the foreign market, naming of the target market and choosing a distribution channel.

After completion of the market research MEYS Emerging Markets Research provides individual feedback to the client. The process of the market research is taken step by step with the client.
